Dr. Meghan Larivee, N.D., L.Ac.

Dr. Larivee offers holistic, individualized care to support the health and well being of all her patients. She understands that each person is unique, and that her best source of information is derived from listening to the client sitting across from her. This approach ensures that her recommendations precisely fit each diverse individual she treats. Combining conventional medical diagnostics with effective natural therapies, Dr. Larivee works to restore the body’s ability to achieve health and support the body’s natural balance. Further, she uses acupuncture to establish emotional and physical balance and to assist healing of the mind, body, and spirit.

Dr. Larivee practices primary care medicine with a particular emphasis on functional neurology, adjunctive cancer care, and the management of chronic autoimmune diseases. Necessary cancer treatments like radiation and chemotherapy have significant side effects and can weaken the immune system. Dr. Larivee supports patients receiving conventional oncology treatments by strengthening their immune systems to help mitigate side effects and increase their tolerance of the process. She also focuses on women’s health and hormonal balance.

While completing her pre-medical education at the University of Colorado, Dr. Larivee earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Environmental Biology. She received her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, where she also earned a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. Dr. Larivee completed an internship at an integrative oncology clinic where she practiced both naturopathic and Chinese medicines, before becoming a resident at the Institute for Restorative Health. After graduation, she was selected as one of two residents nationwide for the STAIR Integrative Medicine Residency at the Institute for Restorative Health in Davis, California, where she gained further experience in neurology and family medicine.

When Dr. Larivee isn’t helping patients at Kwan-Yin Healing Arts Center, she can be found knee-deep in the outdoors; mountain biking, hiking, skiing or doing yoga. Dr. Larivee has backpacked in over 30 countries throughout the world and there’s a good chance she’s already planning her next adventure.

“I am very passionate about my work and I really enjoy working with people who are proactive with their own health care. It is my objective to restore and support balance in the body so that each of my patients can achieve optimal health and well being. Medicine is a balance between science and art; I want every one of my patients to feel better, sleep better, and live a wonderful life.”
