Dr. Sara Hart, N.D., L.Ac., LMT, has been a practitioner of the healing arts for many years, guided by the dynamic state of balance observed in the natural world, the knowledge of modern technology, and the wisdom of ancient traditions.
Dr. Hart sought a holistic approach to healing after working for ten years in home health and institutional settings. Witnessing the limitations of pharmaceutical-based therapies inspired her to expand her knowledge of medicine. Through apprenticeships and formal study, she was able to gain expertise in the fields of herbal medicine, homeopathy, physical medicine, acupuncture, and nutritional and supplemental therapies. She received extensive training in detoxification programs for drug, chemical, and environmental toxin exposures, as well as cancer care, mental health support, and general wellness for all ages.
As a graduate of the National College of Natural Medicine, Dr. Hart is thoroughly trained in western medicine—including physical diagnosis and laboratory evaluation of health and disease. Her knowledge of classical Chinese medicine allows her to assess an individual’s total health and organ function before problems may appear via western methods. Dr. Hart also draws upon anthroposophical medicine, German biological medicine, and the five-element style of acupuncture to form a complete diagnostic picture. Combining medical systems allows Dr. Hart to deeply understand each patient’s strengths and challenges. She feels that these complementary medicines provide endless opportunities for growth and change along a path toward optimal health.
Having grown up in the vast beauty of the Rocky Mountains, Dr. Hart has always had a strong sense of environmental stewardship. “Live simply, that others may simply live” is a motto that guides her. She strives to balance the body’s ecosystem with simple treatment plans that affect deep healing.
