Jennifer Netzer, L.Ac.

Jennifer Netzer was born into a family with long roots in healthcare, but discovered that her path to helping people lead happier, healthier lives was a little different and less traveled than her relatives. Growing up in Walla Walla, Washington, Jennifer developed an appreciation for the diverse natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, drawing inspiration and awareness about the true meaning of health from her surroundings. After graduating from the University of Puget Sound with a B.A. in Business Management, Jennifer worked as a marketing professional in technology for six years before discovering it was not the right path to realizing her purpose.

While seeking a more spiritually fulfilling life, Jennifer stumbled upon the ancient art and science of Chinese medicine, which employs a simplistic beauty based on the interactions of nature to diagnose and treat imbalances of the body, mind, and spirit. Chinese medicine is rooted in the philosophy that a person’s vital energy, or qi, enlivens and connects us to one another and to the world we share. Qi is at the heart of health.

Jennifer holds a Master of Science of Oriental Medicine degree from the National College of Natural Medicine. A licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, Jennifer is trained in classical Chinese medicine, bodywork, and qigong. She completed her master’s thesis on the systematic use of gemstones and minerals in realigning vibrational disharmonies in the body, and she continues to study their value in healing.

As a practitioner, Jennifer creates an individualized approach to treatment that can address a wide variety of imbalances in the body, mind, and spirit. She blends the use of acupuncture, herbs, nutrition, mineral therapy, massage, and more to best treat each person as he/she is right now. Ultimately, Jennifer’s goal is to be a supportive guide for people as they travel the path to a happier, healthier, more fulfilling life.

Jennifer lives in Portland with her husband, Josh, and their furry kids, Kona, Roland, and Tiger Lily. She enjoys walking in the woods, lying on the beach, reading good fantasy books, laughing with friends, listening to Pink Floyd, watching science fiction movies, and traveling to places with really delicious food.
