Health is more than how we feel physically: Our emotions and spirit impact our experiences and therefore our body’s condition. Health is achieved by restoring balance to the whole person. Any of the following things can cause stress and imbalance: body pain, diet or lifestyle that doesn’t serve an individual’s needs, digestive issues leading to poor nutrient absorption or inflammation, emotional stress, or hormonal imbalances. Identifying and resolving factors that interrupt the body’s function allow the body to repair, regenerate and thrive.
I am a board-certified naturopathic physician. My passion is using Chinese medicine, including acupuncture, and Niasziih (Nia-Z-i) healing to find and address the root of why a person doesn’t feel well. Niasziih healing is the earth-centered healing philosophy that allows the healer to become the place of healing. I most often work with women to improve digestion and hormonal health, resolve body pain, decrease stress and anxiety, and address other mental-emotional concerns. I have a particular interest in addressing fertility concerns using Chinese medicine. Clients who resonate with my approach to optimal health are willing to look beyond symptoms, to find the deeper patterns that may affect their heath and may hold them back from living their fullest life.
I became a healer because this work combines my deep connection to the earth and its wisdom with a love of food and nutrition, along with a holistic understanding of health and wellness. I love my work because supporting people’s health so that they are free to achieve their wildest dreams is just awesome. Out of the office, I am most often outdoors with my husband, in the garden, or in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes.
