Hello! I am glad you found me. You are perhaps struggling with a physical ailment and have not found relief or answers. I have learned over the years that addressing the body’s symptoms alone will only get us so far. My approach as a naturopathic physician is to take a truly holistic approach, incorporating healing of the body, mind, emotions and spirit. I enjoy working with patients who are struggling with changes to their body or their life, whether that is perimenopause, a trauma, a new diagnosis or unexplained symptoms. We take a detailed inventory together and create an individualized plan, careful not to overwhelm but instead to support and nourish.
Here is a bit about me: I am a licensed naturopathic physician and graduated from NUNM here in Portland in 2006. After graduation I opened a small clinic in SE Portland and owned and operated that for eight years. Over time, the clinic grew beyond what I ultimately wanted for my practice so in 2014, I sold the clinic to two new practitioners. After selling my practice, I completed a Certificate in Trauma-Informed Services through the Graduate Program of Counseling at Portland State University. This further training in counseling services has broadened my scope of practice and I enjoy exploring thoughts and feelings in conjunction with physical symptoms with my patients.
My focus is on nutrition, lifestyle balance, counseling, flower essences, bioidentical hormone replacement and health coaching. I see myself as a health advisor, someone who can offer support and guidance through often overwhelming and complex information, always remaining mindful that the patient holds the key to their health within them. My job is to help patients uncover blocks to using that key and learning what works for them as an individual. This approach works well for anyone who wants to improve their health and well being, and specifically I have seen it beneficial in times of stress, post-trauma, for anxiety & depression and in major life transitions, including perimenopause, menopause and andropause.
Please set up a free 15-minute consultation if you would like to meet in person or talk over the phone to help us decide if we would be a good fit in working together. I look forward to meeting you and seeing how I can help.
