Dr. Stevens earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine. Prior to medical school, Dr. Stevens received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Health Sciences from Oregon State University.
Dr. Stevens’ clinical education focused on primary care and included a three-year mentorship in mental health, numerous rotations in community clinics, IV therapy, and women’s health. In addition to her training at NUNM, she completed external rotations in pediatric, adolescent, and adult eating disorder care and treatment, as well as adolescent psychiatric inpatient care.
Dr. Stevens’ practices from a Health at Every Size (HAES) perspective and her clinical interests include nutrition science and sports medicine, management of diabetes and other metabolic conditions, LGBTQ care, and providing primary care to those with complex mental health conditions. She has particular interests in the intersection of medical complexity and mental health cases, with an emphasis in the medical management of eating disorders. Dr. Stevens also offers adjunctive medical and nutritional management of eating disorders and enjoys collaborating with patient care teams. Dr. Stevens continues to sit on the local executive board of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals and currently works as the Clinical Nutritionist for Kartini Clinic, a Portland, OR pediatric and adolescent eating disorder treatment center.
In the time she spares, Dr. Stevens enjoys hiking with her partner and pets, horseback riding, participating in triathlons, planning with Dr. Olsen, and on rainy days can be found baking or reading a good book.
